Composite cord strap is a high-strength load securing strapping made from high-tenacity polyester yarn fibers coated with a polymer (usually polypropylene). This combination creates a strap that is extremely strong, flexible, and resistant to weather, chemicals, and impact forces.

It is commonly called synthetic steel strap because it offers high tensile strength similar to steel strapping but with safer handling and better flexibility.
